Forest Health CareThe government have identified an additional cohort of patients who should be advised to shield and who will be eligible for COVID vaccination. The method to identify these additional patients combines a number of factors such as age, sex, ethnicity, body mass index (BMI) and specific health conditions and treatments to estimate the risk of a person catching coronavirus and becoming seriously unwell. A letter or email will be sent from NHS (not from practice) to advise you of this if you are eligible.
In the coming days the practice will also be notified of these new patients and we will then be in touch to book COVID vaccinations once we have confirmation of our next deliveries of vaccines.
Please do not ring the practice at this stage or we will be overwhelmed and seriously unwell patients may not be able to get though. Please be patient and you will be contacted in due course.
